Armenian School on Internet Governance

ArmSIG is an annual training course that was originally meant for students, teachers, and journalists. However, beginning with the third edition of the curriculum, it has been expanded to welcome anyone interested in researching various elements of Internet governance. Individuals from all backgrounds and with various goals can now engage in the courses as a result of this expansion.

  • Security
  • Human rights
  • Infrastructures
  • Economic and socio-cultural developments

The sessions and discussions are conducted by well-known IT specialists and experts. The main objective of ArmSIG is to:

  • Provide information on how to use the Internet safely,
  • Develop the necessary skills,
  • Contribute to the strengthening of Armenia's presence in the sphere of Internet Governance.

The Armenian School of Internet Governance (ArmSIG) was founded in 2017 as a result of the "Internet Society" NGO's initiative.

Schools of Internet Governance (SIG)

Schools of Internet Governance (SIG) have been operating since 2007.

The European School of Internet Governance (EuroSSIG) located in Meissen, Germany, holds the distinction of being the first of its kind. Following its establishment, similar schools began emerging in various countries worldwide.

Based on the individual requirements and resources available in the local setting, each school tailors its curriculum and student selection processes.

The Dynamic Coalition (DC), which was founded during the first International Internet Governance Forum in 2006, is credited with launching SIGs on an international level. Schools of Internet Governance exchange their curricula and educational breakthroughs through the DC common work platform, boosting collaboration and innovation in the field.

Schools of Internet Governance have a broad goal of improving Internet governance efficiency and sharing information and experience in this area with diverse parts of the community.
